This summer seems to be flying by and we are seeing some decent activity in the real estate market. The spring was actually very active…which somewhat made up for a slow start to 2009. However, halfway through the year here is where we stand compared to halfway through 2008:
-Single Family average sales price is down only -4.7%, but sales volume is down 23%
-Average sales price of a condo is down -30.1% and sales volume is down 51%
-Vacant land sales volume is off almost 70%!!!
While you can see the market has hit the skids, the spring and early summer activity shows that the educated Park City Buyer is picking up great deals. There are short sales, desperate sellers, and a few foreclosures out there, so contact us in regards to what you are looking for….We still have a ways to go, and I think the market will move sideways, if not a little bit lower.
